Steven R. Tracy, M.Div, Th.M., Ph.D., is professor of theology and ethics at Phoenix Seminary in Phoenix, Arizona. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Sheffield (England) in New Testament ethics and is the author of five books and numerous published academic articles. His research and writing is focused on sexuality, abuse, and social justice.

Steve and his wife Celestia are the founders of Mending the Soul Ministries, a faith based nonprofit which provides written resources and ministry training on abuse. They are also on the staff of Global Justice Mission, an evangelical mission agency which trains leaders in the majority world. They have been particularly active in ministry in Democratic Republic of Congo.
