Around the world, 460 million people have no access to Scripture. More than 4,000 languages need a complete Bible translation. And thousands of Bible translators need updated resources and equipment.

To accelerate translation projects in these countries, cities and villages, American Bible Society works with a fellowship of Bible Societies in more than 200 countries and territories. Together, these Bible Societies form United Bible Societies, the world’s largest translator, publisher and distributor of the Bible.

By working with United Bible Societies to fund and equip Bible translators, American Bible Society seeks to accomplish a 10-year goal: to translate the Bible into 100 percent of languages around the world.
