Trauma Healing

In the aftermath of the world’s greatest tragedies—from genocide and natural disasters to domestic abuse—people endure wounds of the soul and spirit. Without intervention they can become trapped in cycles of poverty and violence.

But through God’s Word, these people find hope. Bible-based trauma healing sessions are designed to:

  • equip suffering people to encounter God’s Word
  • help people take their pain and suffering to the cross for healing from trauma

One by one, American Bible Society is working to use the beautiful restoration narrative in the Gospel to heal the wounds of the heart. As image bearers of Christ, our commitment to the mission field of the traumatized is deep and our passion is to see the world through mercy-filled eyes.
